Titan beats SEA competition in GMPGL qualifiers

The third and final stage of GMPGL qualifiers ended earlier today. Of all the top SEA teams playing, the four spots eventually went to First Departure, Titan, Team Impervious and JoeNet - with Titan winning the qualifiers and taking top seed.

The top four teams of the GMPGL qualifier are guaranteed at spot at GMPGL SEA main event taking place in the Philippines November 9 to 10. Those four teams were decided yesterday already; First Departure, Team Impervious, Titan and JoeNet. They will compete with Filipino teams for a prize pool of $10,000.

The matches earlier today were played for seed and the former Orange squad Titan displayed a far better performance than during previous weeks. They started the day in the Lower Bracket final vs Team Impervious, a match they won to deny yet another Impervious vs First Departure finals. First Departure knocked down Titan 2-0 yesterday and started off the Grand Final with a well-deserved advantage of 1-0. However, Titan were out for blood and the advantage proved to mean nothing as Titan took three games in a row, winning the qualifier finals 3-1, thus taking top seed.

As quite widely known by now, Mushi left Orange after finishing in third place at The International. He moved to China and joined Team DK where he currently is drafting and excelling in the solo mid performance. Behind him, he left the rest of Orange who parted with their organisation to join Titan, with Zenith's Ice to replace Mushi. Their performance was shifting back and forth after the switch, where Ice (a support player) was forced to play a core position (most often offlane). Today, WinteR played as a stand-in instead of Ice and delivered high class Dark Seer and Lifestealer plays, fitting well into the line-up of Titan. It remains if he was in fact just a stand-in or if it's a hint of what the future holds.

Especially with Orange announcing the arrival of a yet unknown roster, speculations are going wild. They include the rumoured return of hyhy and Sharky, as well as the resurfacing of ChuaN and Yamateh.
