MuShi leaves Orange for China

In Orange's Meet the Media session today in their headquarters at Wangsa Maju, Malaysia, Orange announced that their star player and TI3 solo mid runner-up will be departing from the team to further hone his skills in China. According to Lowyat.net, Orange is currently in talks with several Chinese teams regarding the transfer fee.

The departure of MuShi is a huge blow to the Malaysian Dota 2 scene considering MuShi has been the face of Malaysia for several years now. Orange also recently met the Ministry of Sports with the country planning to make Esports a professional career.

Mushi's Facebook Announcement:

Yes, it's true. I am going to China soon. This decision didn't come very easy, but sometimes, you need to make hard decisions to get to where you want to be. Just know that I am parting with Orange amicably and my reasons for leaving are purely personal.

A lot of people are asking about which Chinese team I am joining, but really, that's not important. No matter where I go, I will still be carrying the Malaysian flag. And no matter what team I join, I will still be the Mushi that you all know. My target is still the same: bring a good game to all the fans around the world.

I believe Orange without me is still Orange, for as long as the other 4 players still believe in each other as we did back in TI3. So, regardless of who replaces me, they will still achieve a lot in the future.

I would like to thank Orange, Neolution, and all our sponsors for always supporting us in all our endeavors.

To my Orange teammates, I believe you all can go far even without me.

To my true fans, I hope that you all will continue to support me, even though I am no longer a part of Orange.

Finally, to all the aspiring gamers out there, believe that nothing is impossible. Don't give up until you get what you want and you are where you want to be.

We have been told that MuShi may be a part of DK's plan to build a dream team alongside Hock Chuan 'ChuaN' Wong, the first Malaysian to play professional Dota 2 in China. It is also very likely that Zhi Cheng 'Lanm' Zhang and Jia Jun 'Sylar' Liu will be joining DK in the near future.

It is also unknown if Orange will join the player transfer shuffle with the departure of MuShi or merely find a replacement. Joel Zhan Leong 'Xtinct' Chan and Wai Pern 'net' Lim was reported playing with Chee Cai 'Ice' Chua and Wei Poong 'Yamateh' Ng in  a local LAN tournament over the weekends.

Orange team roster:

Malaysia Joel Zhan Leong 'Xtinct' Chan
Malaysia Wai Pern 'Net' Lim
Malaysia Kang Yang 'kyxy' Lee
Malaysia Chong Xin 'Ohaiyo' Khoo
