Kingston just announced the teams and schedule for HyperX D2L Season 4. The online phase of the tournament will span from October 14 to December 8, and will decide the four finalists that will go to CES 2014, Las Vegas.
More details were released for the Kingston HyperX DotA2 League. Kingston announced the schedule and the participants for the 16-team international tournament that will send four teams to CES International 2014 on January to battle for the vast $50,000 prize pool.
The online phase of the tournament is scheduled to begin on October 14, continuing up to November 18 with more than ten games per week. A two weeks break will then take place to avoid conflicts with other tournaments such as MLG Columbus and Dreamhack Winter 2013.
The first placer in each divisions will receive an auto qualification to D2L offline finals. The second to fifth placer will have to go through a pre-playoffs stage (separated by region) to decide the only survivor going to Las Vegas. Set to begin on the 6th of December and end on the 8th, teams will be playing a bubble race bracket, one similar to the playoffs of G-1 League.
Bubble race format explanation: 5th placer vs 4th placer, winner versus 3rd placer, winner versus 2nd placer, winner qualifies for Las Vegas.
