Team Dignitas wins Group C of Corsair Gaming Summer Tournament, taking down EG 2-1 in the winner's match. EG gets a new chance tomorrow, going up against the winner of Denial and 4FC.
Day 1 of America Day is over and one team is already qualified for the playoffs. Instead of the regular match prgression where the Loser's Match being played during the first day of the group, the Winner's Match was played. After both being successful in their initial match, Dignitas and Evil Geniuses faced each other in the group final, where the winner would be sent straight to playoffs.
Evil Geniuses ran what ended up being a one-core strategy in the first game where Anti-Mage was the primary hope for the team, other heroes falling behind in networth. In the end, the supreme Anti-Mage from Fear proved to be successful and EG won the first game. Dignitas came back with a 22 minute victory carried by waytosexy's Visage. The third game was slightly more prolonged one but Dignitas was pulling the better trades with Sneyking's Prophet and Unverse's Mirana getting lots of space on the map, eventually taking down the EG squad. Dignitas won the series two to one and is set for the playoffs already. Evil Geniuses gets a second shot tomorrow when facing the winner of 4FC vs Denial eSports.
