Kaipi and Fnatic through to Corsair playoffs

Kaipi wins group B with Fnatic taking second place. Both teams join iCCup and Virtus.pro in the playoffs. Next group to be played July 8th to 9th.

Quantic, originally set to play the group, had to cancel their part of the tournament due to their offlane player Socksha getting hospitalized. It is also said that he can not take part of the matches at Starladder later this week and will go only as a manager. In Corsair Gaming Summer Tournament, Quantic was replaced by uebelst-gamynG. The drop-out resulted in Group B getting easier on paper, with Kaipi and Fnatic winning their initial matches against uebelst and TCM. The recently added german squad of uebelst had a short run, leaving the tournament the very same day as they joined after losing the elimination match vs TCM during Day 1.

Day 2 started with the winners' match where Fnatic took on Kaipi. After winning the first map quite convincingly, Fnatic experienced the power of the future star Arteezy the hard way. Kaipi's mid player Arteezy not only stomped his lane, he also provided with supreme rotations to the other lanes ensuring the victory and the first place of the group. Fnatic, being the experienced team they are, did not let this loss affect them and bounced back in the runner-up match vs TCM, claiming the second place of the group by eliminating the swedes in TCM two to zero.
