Players talk Capture point

Just before GosuFun cup starts, GosuGamers had a chance to catch up with participating teams to ask them a few questions about the mode, capture point, that they will be playing on.

GosuGamers asked three simple question about the mode capture point. The questions being:

What are your thoughts about -capture point?
Are you preparing in any special way for it?
And how do you think it will go for your team?

Here is what they have to say.

-"Well, I've played some -cp pubs already and it's a funny mode actually. But to be honest, I don't think this mode is made for competitive play. Preparing? I think we'll play 1-2 funwars with this mode and that's it. It's really hard to say how it would go for our ream, since when you play -cp, you feel that this isn't the normal DotA you're used to. And we'll also have to play with 2 stand-ins (KuroKy and Sh1LLa) since some of our teammates don't have time. But let's hope this tournament is going to be awesome! (Since I need a SC2 key)"

Taku of GDT:
-"Our team relies on early game domination. We never pick hard carries and that has almost always been our downfall in the competitive scene. So we feel that this mode will be great for us though the competition is going to be fierce. I think capture point is a very interesting mode and brings an exciting flare to the game because It might be much more action packed and enjoyable to watch and play over normal -cm games. As for special preparation, we plan to scrim using -cp against some friendly clans as much as we can before the matches."

ToTo of aAa:
-"Well -cp is a different way to play DotA, different pick/ban and strategy. This mode is a good idea but it has to be improved. We will just think about picks and bans but nothing special. Since it will be new for the other teams too, we will be on the same step for those matches."

-"It's a cool mode, and I think it can be used competitively. It forces teams to
reorganize their focus around the map. We're not preparing in any special way, and I hope we can play some nice games in the mode."

Pinoy of yB:
-"I'm looking forward to this, I don't think we are going to prepare so much for the mode just play like we use to and enjoy the moment."

Ken of AzN:
-"Capture point is somewhat a fun mode that requires more teamwork and coordination than usual games. Ive been reading couple of articles regarding capture points and understanding how everything in -cp works. We have been playing -cp 3 v 3 within our team and brainstorming what kind of playstyle would work best in -cp."

-"I tried Capture point once, it was very fun to play, was going crazy and fighting 24/7 but still lost. So I liked it, but didn't try it well. I'm waiting for GosuFun Cup to play it with my team. We are not preparing at all yet, but I think we will prepare a bit. I don't know how it will be for us, but I would like to win."

Korok of eMg:
-"To be honest, I have only played capture point in single player. GrandGrant is going to be training us for the epic matches on Saturday. His capture point knowledge will give us an edge over the competition as we will be most likely the only team who has strategies planned."

And there you have it, some inputs from the pros. GosuFun cup will be played on this Saturday 18:00 CET. GosuBets are already up, so place your bets here.
