PGL Major Antwerp: ENCE and NAVI complete the four semi-finalist teams

The two teams have beaten Copenhagen Flames and Heroic respectively to reach this stage.

Completing the quarterfinals are the last two matches between ENCE/Copenhagen Flames and Heroic/Natus Vincere. The two matches determined the last two teams that will be heading into the semi-finals.

ENCEvsCopenhagen Flames

ENCE met up with the Danish team Copenhagen Flames in their quarterfinals match. The Danish team had a middling run in the Legends stage, losing two out of the five matches they were in. This quarterfinal match is also a rematch for ENCE as they were beaten by CPH in the Legends stage. The match begins in Vertigo, where immediately ENCE set the tone as they pummelled CPH relentlessly, not giving any quarter to the Danish. ENCE won the first map 16-10.

On Nuke, CPH tried to claw back with several back-to-back wins in the first half, but in the second half, ENCE regained the advantage and continued to dominate the overall match.

ENCE won 2-0.

HeroicvsNatus Vincere

For the match between two of the best CS:GO teams currently, Heroic started strong as they controlled the narrative of the first map, Inferno. NAVI did try to challenge the Danish team but unfortunately, they could only watch as Heroic won the map by round 26. In Ancient, however, NAVI discovered a second wind. The teams were on par by the end of the first half and while Heroic tried their best, NAVI came out top at round 30 of the map, winning their first point.

The third map, Nuke, saw NAVI finally finding their stride and blasting through the map like winners that they are. Heroic at this point seemed to have lost a lot of their steam and could only give a token resistance to NAVI. By the end of round 24, it was all over, and NAVI won the match to head to the next stage.

NAVI won 2-1.

The semifinal match between ENCE and Natus Vincere will be happening at 4 pm Antwerp time (+2 GMT), right after the match between Team Spirit and FaZe Clan. The winner will then head to the Grand final to see who will win the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
