All eight participants of CIS Minor Championship have been determined following the conclusion of the closed qualifier.

Over the weekend we saw the conclusion of the closed qualifier for the CIS Minor Championship, where the final four teams to participate at the LAN finals were determined. Aforementioned finalists will join Spirit, Spartak, Spirit Academy and Tengri at the LAN finals in Moscow, Russia at the GamerStadium club on June 8th-11th in a bid to secure two placements at the main qualifier for the highly sought after PGL Major Kraków 2017.

For the final four teams, the spot at the LAN finals came down to the wire. With a 1-1 win/loss record, each team had to secure a victory in order to proceed to the LAN finals of the CIS Minor. Group A saw k29 overcome Russia teamasd with a 2-0 map sweep. Initially we saw a close de_Mirage, where the Belarusians edge it out at 16:12, followed up with a lop-sided de_Overpass, that resulted in a stomp from the k29 at 16:4. Group B saw Vega emerge victorious after defeating the fellow Russian roster of Russia Nova. Much like k29, Vega were able to 2-0 their opponents, with an initial 16:5 de_Train, closely followed by a 16:4 de_Mirage to keep things brief.
