Kazakhstan Gambit Esports once again return to their favourite tournament series to prove their worth and this time it won't be easy, as they'll be clashing with SK Gaming, the very team that stood in the CIS mix's way in the grand finals of cs_summit and subsequently knocked the team into second place. Despite this result, Gambit went on to participate at DreamHack Austin 2017 immediately after the second place finish, only to secure a first after dispatching Immortals 2-0 in the grand final. The team is looking to secure their second consecutive DreamHack title, and Summer 2017 is definitely not going to be a tournament that Gambit let go of easily.

As for Brazil SK Gaming, the team has had a wonderful run recently, securing first place at cs_summit over fellow invitees, Gambit, as well as a first place finish at Intel Extreme Masters - Sydney 2017. The Brazilians are firing on all cylinders and have recently been showing flawless Counter-Strike on a consistent basis. The latest result was a second place finish against Cloud9 during the Subaru Invitational 2017, however the matches took place online and some may argue that they do not accurately represent raw capabilities due to ping issues and various other factors that online tournaments are subject to.
