
ESL Polish Championship has been concluded with Kinguin defeating PRIDE 2-0 to become the Champions.
After the regular season ended, the top four teams of the online portion advanced to the finals. Kinguin, PRIDE, ZWIERZETA and Izako Boars gathered in Katowice for the offline finals which offered a 70,000 PLN (~$18,000) prize pool.
The heavy hitters, Kinguin and PRIDE were the teams to advance to the grand finals as expected, coming through with a 2-0 series scores against ZWIERZEKA and Izako Boars respectively. Kinguin, the defending champions of the ESL Polish Championship title, kicked off the series against PRIDE with a great CT half on Train which ended with a 11-4 score line. Despite PRIDE's efforts for a comeback in the second half, Kinguin were able to close out Train 16-13.
The second map was PRIDE's pick, de_Mirage. However, it was Kinguin who dominated as Micha? "MICHU" Müller's team won the map with consummate ease, 16-6, and lifted the ESL Polish Championship 2017 trophy. This further cements their place as the number two side in Poland behind behemoths VP, and represents a good result for the home team.
With these results, the final standings of ESL Polish Championship 2017 as follows:
