It was a very close two maps, but in the end Gambit was able to take out Immortals to win DreamHack Austin.

Brazil Immortals vs. Kazakhstan Gambit Esports

de_train - 12:16 (8:7; 4:9)

Immortals took the first three rounds before a double kill from mou allowed Gambit their first win in the fourth round. Dosia's double kill in the fifth secured the round for Gambit, while double kills from mou and Zeus allowed Gambit to tie up the map, 3:3. Immortals was forced to give up the next two rounds due to player disadvantage, at which point Immortals called a Tactical Pause. Despite Gambit being able to immediately answer post-pause, Immortals left the tenth round with everyone alive and then  LUCAS and steel successfully rushed H0bbitt and mou, which allowed Immortals to only be behind by a round. steel and boltz were then able to close the round gap thanks to their long-range double kills in the twelfth round. Steel once again proved he was there to stay, successfully defending Ivy with three frags to isolate the bomb and bring Immortals ahead. Hen1 missing two AWP shots on Zeus forfeits the fourteenth round to Gambit, once again tying up the map. In a slugfest sort of round to finish up the first half, Lucas was able to take out mou to switch sides with the map in their favour, 8:9.

Gambit took the pistol round this time, and then the next three rounds before Immortals can answer back in the twentieth. Despite Immortals being wiped out by Gambit in the twenty-first, Immortals had stalled long enough for the bomb to detonate, getting them one round behind Gambit. After a Gambit-called Tactical Pause, Immortals wiped out the entire team without losing a man, dominating the twenty-second round to tie the map once again. Lucas then hit a double kill to bring Immortals up for the third time in the map, but it was short-lived thanks to a flank by Dosia and a follow-up kill and defuse. Gambit took the next two rounds and punished an aggressive Immortals to clean the Brazilian team up to get to map point. It was a double kill off of AdreN's molitov in Bombsite A and two quick AWP kills from mou that sealed Immortals fate, falling to Gambit 12:16.

de_Inferno - 12:16 (6:9; 6:7)

Gambit took the first three rounds quickly, only for them to run out of time and allow the bomb to go off in the fourth round to allow Immortals an entry point into the map. A triple kill from Zeus completely blocked Immortals out of the next round and them mou picked up the slack in the next round, earning a triple kill with the AWP to extend Gambit's lead by five. H0bbitt unexpectedly rotating in the eighth round allowed him a quick entry frag followed by another two kills, which Zeus followed up with a double kill of his own, giving Gambit their seventh round. Immortal's fnx was almost able to force his way into Bombsite A with a triple kill and a plant, but H0bbit was quick to end both fnx's life and Immortal's dreams of a second win in the ninth round. With another round going to Gambit, Immortals was forced to call a Tactical timeout to try to reassess the situation. Their assessment worked out, with of Immortals becoming aggressive and forcing Gambit to concede the next five rounds, bringing the score to 6:9 at halftime.

Boltz's opening frag on Zeus gave Immortals the edge early on in the sixteenth round, which they held to give them their sixth round win in a row. Gambit bought the next round to stall their opponent's momentum for the next two rounds, thanks in part to a quad kill from Dosia in the nineteenth to make sure Immortals stays down for a bit longer. Immortals seemed to have had the twenty-first round, but then H0bbit comes flying in with a jumping headshot on Hen1 and a quick frag on LUCAS to open up Bombsite B and steal the round from the Brazilians. Hen was able to steal back a round, however, with a clutch 1v2 that ended in his favour, giving Immortals a chance to come back into the game with a score of 8:14. fnx was the saviour for Immortals in the twenty-fourth round, killing an AWPing mou and H0bbitt to allow Immortals even more momentum. With Immortals winning their third round in a row, bringing the map to 10:14, Gambit called for the Tactical Pause.

Whatever was said in the Pause wasn't immediately effective, thanks in part to steelega's triple kill and defuse to win the next round. Immortals went on to win the next round before Gambit could finally stop the Immortals' push and bring the map to match - and tournament - point. A very late Lucas rotate from Bombsite B to A costs Immortals the entire map, with Lucas only leaving B once the rest of his team is dead. By then, it was a 3v1 that Immortals couldn't bounce back from, resulting in Gambit taking the map and becoming the DreamHack Austin Champions in a 0:2 win.
