CS:GO Ali “Maxxie” Or

Originally, the fourth open qualifier and the closed qualifier for European Minor were scheduled to be held at the same time as ESL One: Cologne 2017 qualifiers, to avoid potential problems PGL rescheduled Minor qualifier dates.

The qualifiers for European Minor are set to be played in two stages over the next month. Four open and a closed qualifier will determine the attending teams for the next part in the major qualification process. The major itself will kick-off on July 16th, just a single week after ESL One: Cologne 2017 ends.

In the European Minor announcement, PGL revealed the dates for the fourth open qualifier and the closed qualifier as May 15th-17th and May 20th-21st respectively. These dates would see potential overlaps with the European qualifier for ESL One: Cologne 2017. As a result of augmenting concerns, PGL decided to reschedule the latest two steps and announced the new dates to be May 14th-16th and May 18th-19th for the fourth open qualifier and the closed qualifier.

Sixteen teams will be fighting in a Swiss System group stage in the closed qualifier with the top eight advancing to European Minor. PGL handed out invites to eight teams for the closed qualifier where they will be joined by eight more teams, two from each open qualifier.
