Epsilon and iGame have secured their spots at World Cyber Arena (WCA) 2016 World Finals by placing first and second in the EU Qualifier respectively.

The EU qualifier for the World Finals started three months ago, in August with the group stage. When the qualifier reached the semi-finals, Gambit, iGame.com, Epsilon and Space Soldiers were the teams that still had hopes to secure a spot at the $200,000 main event.

The first match set iGame.com against Gambit. Gambit suffered a close defeat in the first map, Train which was iGame's pick but on Cache, after a close first half, the Finnish side dominated the second half as Counter-Terrorists and won the series 2-0.

The second semi-final match was between Epsilon and Space Soldiers. Epsilon picked Cache to be the first map of the series and thanks to Space Soldiers' unimpressive T half, the Swedes grabbed the victory with a 16-5 score line. The Turks selected Cobblestone as their pick but their struggles while playing as the attackers continued as they were able to win just two rounds in the entire first half. Despite nine round victories as the CT side, Space Soldiers couldn't prevent Epsilon from grabbing three rounds as Terrorist to make it 16-11 and. With this result, the Swedish team secured the victory and a spot at the World Finals as well.

Two victorious teams of the semi-finals faced each other in the Grand Final of the tournament. Both teams had their spots secured at that point but the Grand Final had the lion's share of ~$33.000 prize pool to offer. Epsilon emerged victorious on both maps comfortably to receive a $13.500 check in addition to their World Finals spot.
