K23 beat a lot of big name teams to get their first place win.
The WESG 2016 Asia-Pacific Regional Finals in Goyang, South Korea have come to an end today. On the fourth day, K23, the team from Kazakhstan, won their $29,500 share of the $75,000 grand finals by beating Chinese team FIVE 2-0. In addition to the $75,000, K23 won six spots to the WESG Global Finals.
K23 managed to beat big name Asian teams like MVP Project, Athletico and VG.CyberZen in order to get their first place win. The grand final match was against the Chinese team FIVE, who despite being a very new team, surprised everyone with their performance. Despite that, they were unable to stand a chance against K23 who won the Mirage map 16-5 and Train 16-7.
