After an action-packed group stage, Epicenter: Moscow has reached the playoffs of the tournament, with six teams left in the race.
Epicenter: Moscow's group stage has concluded with six teams remaining in the race. Said teams will be facing each other during the playoffs, taking place on the 22nd and 23rd of October. Due to the fact that there were quite a few draws in the group stage matches, the leaders of each group were determined by round differences. Group A was topped by home crowd favourites - Natus Vincere, who stand tall at a seven round difference. Group B saw Virtus.Pro absolutely smash the charts with a whopping twenty round difference, mostly thanks to a stellar performance against SK Gaming, where the team took away both maps against one of the favourites for the tournament title.
Below you will find a table with the standings for each of the two groups:
Group A | Group B | ||
Natus Vincere | 7 | Virtus.Pro | 20 |
G2 Esports | 2 | Fnatic | -5 |
Team Dignitas | 1 | SK Gaming | 6 |
Ninjas in Pyjamas | -10 | HellRaisers | -31 |
Following in the footsteps of Na'Vi in group A were G2 Esports and Team Dignitas, with the former securing a two round lead, whilst Team Dignitas were just a single round ahead. Group B saw Fnatic and SK Gaming as runners up, with the Brazilians sporting a six round surplus, whilst the Swedes sported a negative five rounds.
