ESWC have announced the eight groups for the upcoming LAN tournament in Paris, France.
The thirty-two participants of ESWC 2016 have been broken into eight groups of four. The group stage will see a best-of-one winners' bracket match, whilst the lower bracket will be best-of-three. The top two teams from each group proceed to the single-elimination round of sixteen, where all eight quarter-finalists will be decided. The entirety of the playoffs will feature best-of-three matches, all the way through to the Grand Final.
The top eight teams of the tournament will secure a portion of the prize pool, the distribution of which can be found below:
1st place - $20,000
2nd place - $15,000
3rd & 4th places - $10,000
5th, 6th, 7th & 8th places - $5,000
