After a total of thirty five applications, only three contestants made it through securing invites for the event.

Three teams from Europe and North America have secured invites to the ESL Intel Challenge: Katowice 2016, after a total of thirty five applicants sent in requests. The event is organised to give female teams across the globe a chance at competing at large events, as well as increasing exposure to female CS:GO. A total of $30,000 will be on the line for the ladies.

The Intel Challenge: Katowice 2016 features a total of eight teams, five of which are invited and three of which must go through a qualifiers stage. The remaining two invite spots are reserved for one Asian and one Latin American team. The qualifiers are open to any rosters that consists of five female players. Accomodation and travel for participating teams will be settled by the organisers.
