Vici Gaming and EHOME plan CSGO teams

Two of China's largest eSports clubs are planning a move into the CS:GO scene in 2016.

EHOME and Vici Gaming (VG), two of the premier Dota 2 organisations in China, are planning a move into the FPS scene with CS:GO locked in as the next step in the evolution of the clubs. Following the success of their respective Dota 2 teams and the relative underutilisation of the potential talent in Chinese CS:GO players, both organisations will immediately begin their search for a group of five to form teams.

In its announcement, EHOME states that the organisation is not looking for immediate success, but it is instead attempting to build a foundation for the future success of a Chinese CS:GO team.

About EHOME:

Following a few years off from Dota 2, following the conclusion of The International 2012, EHOME was reborn at the conclusion of 2014 and has since risen to be one of the top Dota 2 organisations in China. With a 5-6th place finish at The International 2015 and The Summit 4, along with a 4th place finish at The Frankfurt Major 2015, EHOME are primed to continue this string of success in 2016.

In a translated statement from the Chinese article source, EHOME had this to say about the move:

After long-term market research, EHOME will officially start a CS:GO project, creating a CS:GO clan, and will write a new chapter in EHOME gaming history! EHOME club will recruit top domestic CSGO players, not only on behalf of the domestic EHOME campaign, but also on the behalf of China in the world arena.

About Vici Gaming:

Founded in 2012, VG has teams in Dota 2, League of Legends, Hearthstone, and other assorted eSports. With success this past year in Dota 2, VG can make its case as one of the top-2 Dota 2 organisations in China. VG secured a 2nd place finish at the Dota 2 Asia Championships and a 3rd place finish at The Summit 3, both times falling to eventual winners, Evil Geniuses. Along with those solid finishes, VG finished in 4th place at The International 2015 and a 5-8th place finish at ESL One Frankfurt 2015.

In a translated statement from the Chinese source article, VG had this to say about the move:

VG gaming clubs will heavily invest into the CS:GO project to build a strong and competitive team. We will be hoping to produce brilliant Chinese FPS, so please keep an eye out for our future signings. A strong team lineup will definitely excite you!
