Gamers2 showed a very strong presence yesterday. Their win against CLG was marked with unbelievable performances, especially their newest member Philip ''aizy'' Aistrup. Since TSM looked a little weaker yesterday and have said they feel quite nervous coming into this tournament, it was expected that G2 would finally be able to crush their nemesis.
On the first map, this was totally the case. Gamers2 just dominated, and thus won Cache 16-5. No real damage was done by the Danes and G2 have reinstated their unbelievable strength. Whilst the European mix then managed to take the first round on Overpass, TSM answered with an eco-win. Though losing some rounds now and then, their enemies did not really manage to steal their momentum off. Eventually, TSM took the map 16-7.
The question was now whether G2 would bounce back on the decider map. They managed to get some momentum going, but only for a short time and seemed to consistently lose key rounds. In the end, they seized to be a real match for Team SoloMid, who just got everything right. By winning 16-6, TSM were able to advance to the finals of the Intel Extreme Masters in San Jose.
