The second season of ESL's UK Premiership preliminary stages will begin later this month with the preliminary qualifiers.
The ESL UK Spring Premiership ended just last month with XENEX taking home first place at the LAN finals and the $3,950 first place prize at the London MCM Comic Con.
Now, ESL has revealed that they will be running another Premiership season, this time featuring a much larger $15,000 prize pool. The top four teams from the spring season will be automatically qualified for the group stage, while the next four will have to battle through the promotion stage to make it to the groups.
For teams that didn't place in the top eight of the spring season or didn't compete at all, they must compete in the two qualification cups in order to be able to make it to the main event. Teams will be able to win prize money at all stages of the tournament, with £1,000, £4,000, and £5,000 available at the promotion, group, and playoff stages respectively.
Prize Distributions:
1st Place: £2,500
2nd Place: £1,250
3rd Place: £625
4th Place: £625
