Polish CS:GO organization CSGames.pl have called off their planned ESWC Central Europe qualifier after a host of problems.
After being announced less than two weeks ago, the central European qualifer for ESWC 2015 has been cancelled by the host organization, CSGames.pl, who had planned to run the event later this month.
The event faced serious scrutiny after a number of issues arose around administrative descions made by the organization, causing suspicion even in the prelimairy qualifer event.
The first problem that arose was CSGame's decision to invite multinational Team Kinguin to the event, even though a majority of the team's roster do not live in the central European region. Additionally, the orignal venue chosen for the qualifer became unavailble according to the organization, who quickly relocated it.
However, the final nail in the coffin for ESWC Central was a complaint by a team participating in the online preliminary qualifier that quickly blew up on reddit. The team claimed that tournament administrators mishandled matches for the event on multiple occasions, as well as appearing to show favoritism towards teams.
