CEVO S6 LAN Finals: CLG and Nihilum take the opening wins

The season 6 LAN finals of CEVO league has commenced with the opening matches being played out last night where where we saw Counter Logic Gaming and Nihilum Gaming take their respective wins.

The season 6 LAN finals of CEVO league features four teams which topped the online part of the league. Counter Logic Gaming, Nihilum Gaming, eLevate and Luminosity Gaming were seeded into the double-elimination bracket. All games are set to use a best-of-three format, except the grand finals which will feature a multiple best-of-three series.

Counter Logic Gaming and eLevate were first to open the Day 1 of LAN finals. eLevate had some great results in the recent period where we witnessed them take down all the big NA names and also win the Alienware Area 51 Cup. However, CLG denied any major upsets in this match as they went into it with full confidence. De_cache was dominated by them, especially the first half where they won 12 rounds on T side. In the end eLevate managed to collect some rounds before CLG closed this map with 16-12. But, the second map which was de_dust2 had a real heart-breaking finisher as it went into the overtime. CLG came out on the top of it to claim the 2-0 victory and move on to the upper bracket finals.

The second semi finals duel was played between Nihilum Gaming, ex-Denial eSports line-up, and Luminosity Gaming. Nihilum's flowsicK and co' had an impressive show winning both maps convincingly, 16-7 and 16-9. The scenario on both cache and dust2 was more or less the same; Nihilum winning 9 rounds on T side and moving on to CT side to win a seven more without much struggle.

Day 2 schedule:
00.00 CET - Counter Logic Gaming vs Nihilum Gaming - Upper bracket finals
02.30 CET - eLevate vs Luminosity Gaming - Lower bracket round 1
