The matchup between FlipSid3 Tactics and fnatic was the final online series in the CCS league, it was a best of 5 online qualifier, the winners would take their spot at the LAN for a chance to win a minimum of $40,000.

Map 1 was fnatic's pick, Cobblestone. FlipSid3 got a good start after winning the second round after fnatic swept the CT pistol round, however fnatic locked down their CT side taking 10 rounds to convincingly close out the first half in a strong fashion. The second pistol round was won by fnatic to make the score 11:5. Fnatic didn't let go of the momentum they had as they quickly closed out map 1 16:7.
Mirage was picked by Flipsid3 Tactics for map 2, they needed a strong start to stop fnatic's momentum from the first map. Fnatic once again took another pistol round however FlipSid3 quickly returned due to a quick tripple by S1mple. Another eco win was taken by fnatic on the T side, they then followed up winning the following eco rounds from FlipSid3. It seemed every time FlipSid3 took a round fnatic would bounce right back therefore forcing flipSid3 onto an eco. Fnatic dominated the first half 12:3 then continued to close out the game 16:3.
Fnatic had now taken 2 straight maps and 4 straight pistol rounds only dropping 10 rounds between the pair of maps.
The third and final map was Overpass where by this point fnatic came in as overwhelming favourites. A poll held just before this map had the percentage for fnatic to win at 72%. Fnatic started their overpass CT side by winning their 5th consequtive pistol round and finally managed to follow through to defeat the FlipSid3 eco round. FlipSide then quickly came back to win their first buy round. Like the previous maps fnatic didn't allow FlipSid3 a second round, shutting the Ukranian talents down convincingly. Fnatic then closed out the 1st half winning 14 rounds, showing us some of the old fnatic magic. Winning the second pistol round allowed fnatic to close the third map 16:1.
Fnatic took all 6 pistol rounds, they won all three straight maps only dropping 11 rounds in the BO5 series.
