Virtus.pro have defeated Cloud9 16-11 on de_inferno to secure a spot in the playoffs of ESL One Katowice 2015.

Despite starting on the less favoured T side of de_inferno, Cloud9 still managed to win the preliminary pistol round as well as the following anti-eco round against Virtus.pro. However, the Polish team came up big on the 3rd round, winning a save round where they bought nothing but P250s and a few nades, making the score 2-1 still in favour of the North American team.
Virtus.pro then decided to morph into Virtus.plow as they went on a destructive winning streak of terror, shutting down any attempts to break through their defences by Cloud9 as they secured 9 rounds in a row, making the score 10-2. Cloud9 finally managed to win a single round after catching Virtus.pro off guard on the A bombsite, pushing through their defences as Virtus.pro took too long to rotate for backup. However, Virtus.pro instantly came back on their feet, winning the rest of the rounds as they ended the first half with a dominant 12-3 scoreline.
The second half saw Cloud9 making a comeback after gaining some momentum by winning the 2nd pistol round as well as 7 rounds in a row before Virtus.pro got a foothold in the match, winning 2 rounds and making the score 14-10, still in favour of the Polish team. Cloud9 did not lose without a fight as they took one last final round from Virtus.pro but still lost 16-11.
Cloud9 will now face TSM for one final chance to qualify for the quarter-finals and become a legends team in the next major.
