Team Acer acquires Chosen, an all-Swedish lineup featuring 1.6 stars Björn "THREAT" Pers and Frej “kHRYSTAL” Sjöström. This is the organization's first venture into CS:GO.
Team Acer, of Starcraft 2 and Super Hot Crew (League of Legends team) fame, announced yesterday that after "several weeks" of talks they will be picking up the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team formerly known as Chosen. The Swedish squad is recently known for winning last month's Swedish E-Sports Championship (Esports-SM) tournament organized by Dreamhack. Standing out among the lineup are Björn "THREAT" Pers and Frej “kHRYSTAL” Sjöström, who were big names in 1.6.
They are accompanied by Christian "Spitfire" Schiölde of n!faculty and SK Gaming fame, as well as Fredrik "slap" Junbrant and John "wenton" Eriksson. Coaching the team is Jerry "vetic" Fors and a Danish manager Thom "NervO" Broeren. Because of Team Acer's great standing as an organization, expect to see their banner rather frequently in the upcoming months.
