CS:GO Champions League announced with $30,000

The Champions League for Counter-Strike:Global Offensive has arrived. Dreamz Media announced their first CS:GO project with the $30,000 prize pool.

After a very successful run with their Dota2 Champions League, Dreamz Media decided to host their a very first Counter-Strike:Global Offensive event. The CS:GO Champions League will feature a ten very well known European teams fighting for the lion's share, and the title as a Champions League winner.

The tournament will be played online, and will include a round robin and playoffs stages. The ten teams will first go through the round robin format where they will have to play a best-of-two matches. The top six teams from this stage will move on to the playoffs. The first and second placed teams will have advantage starting at the Round 2 of playoffs, while the other four teams will kick off at Round 1. The playoffs will be set to feature a double-elimination bracket played in the best-of-three series, with grand finals being best-of-five. Team coming from the upper bracket will have an map advantage in the grand finals.

The organizers have already confirmed the participants list and the ten invited teams are:
 


The broadcast will be done by 99damage and ceh9. 99damage will provide the international coverage, while ceh9 will do the coverage for CIS region.
 


The league is expected to kick off today or tomorrow with the first matches, while the finals are scheduled to be played at the end of April.
