The European closed qualifier for FACEIT League 2015 is set to start today with the first pair of matches.
The third edition of FACEIT League was announced five days ago. The tournament organizers have presented their full plan for this year which will, once again, include two divisions, European and North American.
The top six European teams of last season were directly invited for FACEIT League 2015 together with the top four North American teams. The each division will see two more teams coming from the qualifiers.
The first European open qualifier were hold yesterday where more than 250 teams fought for the four slots in the closed qualifier. The closed qualifier will feature eight teams in total, with HellRaisers and Epsilon, being the last two ranked teams of the previous season, automatically qualifying for it. dAT Team and Natus Vincere were invited and the remaining four slots were reserved for the teams from the open qualifier. So far LGB eSports and Mousesports have secured their spot in this closed qualifier, while the other two spots are still up for grabs.
The closed qualifier will start with the first matches today. We will be able to Natus Vincere and Mousesports fighting a semi final spot today at 18.00 CET, while the second clash of the day will be between HellRaisers and LGB eSports at 21.00 CET. This will be the first official match for the new HellRaisers line-up which got changed only 4 days ago. Epsilon and dAT Team are still awaiting for their opponents and they will be playing their matches tomorrow. The semi final duels are scheduled for Tuesday.
