An unexpected culmination to a seemingly predictable matchup. TyLoo initiate on the CT side of Cobble, showing a decent performance when it came to holding sites and fending off the American aggressors. The first half went well, with a 10:5 lead in favour of the Chinese.
Liquid responded, reciprocating the score the Chinese demonstrated in the previous half, inviting their opponents into overtime territory.
Finally TyLoo managed to take the match over in the second overtime, securing the map at a prolonged, grindy 22:19.

A rather disappointing performance from G2 Esports over the course of the map. GODSENT kicked off on the CT side of Train, where the team manage to go fairly even against the Frenchmen. Both teams went neck in neck, resulting in a 8:7 finish in favour of G2’s T side.
This is where it got extraordinarily rough for G2 Esports. The team seemed to completely disconnect, unable to take a single round in the second half of the map. GODSENT exploited this and coupled with their individual skill and experience took the match at a 16:8 score.
Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. 
Lounge Gaming - 13:2, 3:6 (16:8)

NiP start on the T side.
What an astonishing match for the Ninjas. Starting off on the terrorist side, NiP were seemingly unstoppable. Bomb sites were secured, bombs were planted, entry frags were had, everything seemed to fall in place for the Swedes, landing a 13:2 finish upon half time.
Lounge showed retaliation during the second half, where the team took a total of six rounds off the Swedes, however this was simply not enough as the Ninjas grabbed the three rounds they needed to finish the game off at 16:8.
FaZe Clan vs. 
Team EnVyUs - 6:9, 10:3 (16:12)

nV start on the T side.
EnVyuS show a decent performance against the European mix, starting off with a decent first half on the T side of Cache. FaZe were able to fend off a few of the advances from their opponent, ultimately ending the first half at 9:6 in their favour.
During the second half, nV stepped up to the task and started slowly securing rounds. Whilst it wasn’t one of the cleanest wins, the boys in blue went on to secure the map 16:12.

Day two didn’t upset in terms of quality of matches, however it seems mousesports really did. Flabbergasting sights were to be seen over the course of this match. First off we saw a strong hold from mouz’s CT side on Cache, where the team managed to fend off the Brazilians, cutting it at an 11:4 lead at half time.
During the second half, LG were trying their best in holding bombsites, however it seemed insufficient as the German team were looking stronger than ever. Entry fragging was on point, as was the coordination, leading to a 16:7 finish in favour of mousesports.
Natus Vincere vs. Counter Logic Gaming - 7:8, 8:7, 4:0 (19:15)

Na'Vi start on the CT side.
The second match of the day that offered an overtime and boy was it glorious. Na’Vi started off on the CT side of dust, where they managed to show a decent performance, considering CLGs recent form and their lack of best AWP in the world. CLG cut the first part of the match at a respectful 8:7 lead.
Lo and behold, one of the most tense halves of this tournament. CLG amass an early lead on Na’Vi, simply to be hit with a comeback right in the noggin. The CIS squad managed to grind out the Americans, ending the half with an even 15:15 pushing the game into overtime.
Unfortunately for CLG, Na’Vi weren’t around to play and simply steamrolled their opponents in four subsequent overtime rounds, closing out the best of one at 19:15.
Team Dignitas vs. Astralis - 9:6, 7:3 (16:9)

Ladies and gentlemen, if LG losing to mouz wasn’t quite the upset for you, buckle in. It all started with Dignitas showing a stoic defence on their CT side. Astralis successfully breached the defences on occasion, leading to a 6:9 half time finish for the favourite.
This is where things got serious. Dignitas were unstoppable with the exquisite entry frags and executes that they threw at Astralis. This caught them off guard and the team suffered a 16:9 loss against Dignitas.
Virtus.Pro vs. Tempo Storm - 9:6, 7:3 (16:9)

The last match of the day saw a great, close match between the Brazilian and Polish representatives. The first half saw Virtus.Pro kick off on the CT side and push back TS quite efficiently. Good holds were seen, aggressive pushes were executed, aforementioned culminated in a 9:6 half time score in favour of the Poles.
The second half saw a rather linear game as Virtus.Pro were able to close out the match after successfully rushing bomb sites, getting favourable trades and out-aiming the Brazilian squad. 16:9 in favour of the Poles.
