The European Nations Cup is over, and was once again won by the National Swedish team. With two consecutive victorious championships in this event, they can surely be mentioned as one of the absolute national teams. The prize money? 8,000 €!
And so the European Nations Cup ends. The National
Swedish team has won, once again, and did so by beating
France in a most exciting match ending 3-2 in favour for the Swedes. Previously in the tournament, Sweden knocked France down to Loser Bracket, also with 3-2 after an astonishing comeback in the game, thanks to
ElakeDuck and
SaSe. France were really close twice in winning over , but Sweden came out of the tournament undefeated, though a bit shaken by all the close 3-2 wins.Won over France twice (each 3-2)
In the pre-interview, the Swedish manager
SK.Enrique (pic) said that the only goal in the playoffs was the #1 spot. He also believed France were to end second,
Germany third and
Denmark at last and fourth place. He was indeed right, and he could see his star-filled team take home the victory. In their first endeavour against France (Winner Bracket final), he could see his old team-mates from 64AMD play a great match, giving Sweden 3 match wins and thereby securing the Grand Final spot.Enrique never really worried
After the Winner Bracket Final in a short movie clip with SK-Gaming, Enrique said that the team will most likely win, and that he is not worried of losing. However, it was really close that Sweden would not fulfill their goal, as it was not over until the last game where
MaDFroG managed to beat
FaTC on Echo Isles (2-1).

Wins 8.000 €
This meant that Sweden wins the European Nations Cup, and has done so twice in a row, and are the only ones to do it since the ENC management started with hosting it offline. This win gives them 8,000 €, which will most likely be spread out by the members. A big congratulations to Sweden, who once again proved their strength!
