GosuGamers second WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne tournament has finally ended. RotterdaM was able to take down Pato with the score of 3-1 in an exciting final. GosuGamers took a chat with RotterdaM after the tourney.
We had to face some problems in the first rounds, because of our BO3 system, which we will change for the next tourney. The player
Theycallmeb00n was banned from the tourney due to his flaming. In the End 65 people participated in our tourney. Unfortunately, we had to give a defwin to

Could you please introduce yourself to the readers?
- Allright, hello i am Kevin van der Kooi, better known as Fnatic Rotterdam, i am 18 years old, i play orc and live in Hoogvliet rotterdam, The netherlands. :-D
What do you think of the competition in the tourney? Any problems at all? Maybe you have some advices for us to improve our tourney?
- I would go for single elimination until the quarter finals, so things will go faster and its more fun for the players, maybe a report loss button on the site will make it even more easy , and in the future it would be nice to have a small price ( Headset, Mouse, Mousemat etc... ), it will motivate more players =p. The rest was good imo.

How come you signed up for the tournament? Are you a frequent GosuGamers visitor?
- Yeah, i heard my friend ( if i can call him a friend you never know! ) boo talking about this site and i decided to take a look, and i must say i liked the way the site looked and the betting with gold is alot of fun. When i saw there was a tour i though it was cool to sign up,
1. because i think it was fun to play in and hopefully to win and
2. maybe if people saw more famous players in the tourney more players will sign up to play vs famous players and so the site will improve and become more known, which is a good thing, The more sites the better!

- Haha i'm not even refering to that, since the level of sk forums is pathehic, i used to comment on alot of stuff but i am starting to see its useless what you say since they dont even read, a shame cause there were some good players involved in the forums ( tod and more ) but they all kinda retired there , and i dont care about the thing sk-forum people think of me. It was more in the way of alot of people think i'm only bad mannered and a whiner ( wich i am ) but that doenst mean i dont have my good sides ;].
Did you expect a tough challenge when registering?
- Yeah, i dont consider people like boo, zerter and pato as easy wins. Its a shame the guy who won vs zerter didnt show up anymore, would have liked to play vs it. But cant change it and in the end i won so ;p
The final vs pato was a bit weird, we both didnt play very well and can do much better but for some reason alot of things dont worked out.
Will you take part in future tournaments hosted by us?
- Probably if i have the time and nice players are in, i dont see any reason why i wont ;p
Let's change the topic to the WC3L Season which is running atm. What do you think about the recent performance of your team fantic?
- oho Well we had a tough start with a dissapointing result ( 1-4 ) but it was very close, every game was 2-1 or 1-2. in the second playday we did much better with all 2-0 scores and the third playday was amazing for us, nobody expected us to win solo 4-0 vs t.mh, something that was great but we should not overrate it, the season is still long and goal is to finish top 6 and then try to qualify.
So which teams do you see playing at the LAN finals?
- Thats very hard to predict since you dont know who will end up 3-6 but well i would say
4k sk fnatic mouse/ t.mh
fnatic is not really a favoriete for it but i hope it and if we get a little bit lucky i think we can do it.
So you don't see check6 in the top4?
- Nope, i give them a good chance for top 6, together with play and fnatic but top 4 will be hard.
What do you think about the WC3L? The majority of the people is considering it as the most important league in the world, do you agree? And what do you prefer? WC3L Clanwars or 1on1 tourneys?
- I think its inportant for teams to play in, since they can show thereself every week and players will improve if they in online league's like that, offcourse a 1v1 tourney offline like wcg eswc acon or weg is more fun to play in, but i think the wc3l Playoff @ lan is the same. Lan > online since its just more fun to play offline and see your enemy's in real life.
