Taiwan-Based Pacific League Set to Begin in April feat. $250,000+ Prize Pool

Blizzard Announces a New Tournament For The Asia-Pacific Region.

Blizzard has just announced a new "Pacific League" Asia-Pacific event and they have committed to two seasons for this promotion with the first of these slated to begin on April 8th. This latest tournament will also be the inaugural event for the newly unveiled Blizzard Pavillion eSports Stadium located in Taipei, Taiwan with Mike Morhaime, President of Blizzard Entertainment, appearing in person to kick off the grand opening in style.

This latest event will have a significant prize pool of NT 8.3 million (approximately $273,000 U.S.) and will be played out over a span of thirteen weeks. This will be an excellent opportunity for those wishing to see more top level play from the likes of Japan, Australia and Thailand as you can see from the team lineup listed below:

For those of us unable to make it to the pavilion in person, the entire competition will be streamed live via the Blizzard Taiwan Live Stream Channel. You can also stay glued, right here, to GosuGamers for complete event coverage and results.
