Curse and Alienware have announced not one, but three Monthly Melees this October. Read more inside.
It has become Overwatch tradition: the Alienware Monthly Melee. This though, Alienware and Curse are excited to provide three seperate events! Two for NA teams and their very first EU Monthly Melee. We will share more information about their specific plans later. For now, let's focus on the first NA event that is coming up in a few hours.
Alienware has yet again partnered up with Curse to provide the community a two-day event, with some of the best NA teams around. The teams will be playing for a prizepool of $5,000, through a group stage and elimination bracket. No teams will be eliminated after the group stage, as it only serves as a way to seed teams into the bracket (and to provide more content for us to enjoy). The following eight teams have been invited and divided into two seperate groups:
All groupstage matches will be played (but not necessarily broadcasted) today, so that tomorrow you can enjoy the Elimination stage all day. Today's matches will be Bo3, with maps being decided through owdraft.com.
The broadcasts today and tomorrow will start at 2 PM PDT/5 PM EDT/11 PM CEST, over at the Twitch.TV/GosuTV_OW channel. For a complete look at the rule, we will gladly refer you to their announcement.
