The Asian Overwatch scene is growing like never before. Coming up this week is the Chinese tournament APAC Premier. For this tournament, six Chinese teams and six international teams will compete for a prize pool of roughly $250,000.
This tournament is notable for a few reasons. First off, it’s the first Chinese tournament to be officially licensed. Secondly, it’s the first time Western teams will have a real head-to-head with Asian teams. So there are many great reasons to keep an eye on this tournament.

Recently, the brackets got announced. They are as follows:

Group A includes fan favorites NRG from North America.

In group B we see Atlantic Showdown winners Rogue and world ranked 10th Skadi's Gift.

And finally, group C includes for example the Korean stars of Afreeca Freecs Blue.

As is seen in the brackets, the group stages will be best of three games and include a lower bracket.

The tournament will kick off its first group stage games on October 6th at 9:00 CEST/12 AM PDT. It will be casted by Ubershouts and Jason Kaplan over at twitch.tv/bananaculture.
