ProfessorGanymede is at it again. The support main who brought the Lucio wall ride buff to our attention is back with a new video. The knowledgeable Lucio expert has detected a subtle nerf to the easy access to situational awareness that Lucio mains used to have. Check out his break down of the changes below.
While it may seem minor, the change will greatly affect the situational awareness of Lucio mains. The average response to this seems to be “well, just look around” however, it’s not that simple. Lucio is usually in the right in the thick of things, in the eye of the hurricane so to speak. Teammates could be behind him, above him, below him and the loss of focus, even for a split second, could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Before this change, it was quick and easy for Lucio mains to know exactly how many people they were healing and for how much. Now multitasking will be an even more important skill for the already nerfed support. While this is not a huge change that will disrupt the meta or even be widely noticed by the majority of players, this will absolutely affect the highest level of play. Even the most infinitesimal advantage is huge for elite players and this will certainly be missed.
