The first grand finalist of BEAT Invitational to be decided tonight

EnVy are still looking like the heavy favorites to take the lion’s share home.

Ever since their 33-match win-streak began last month, EnVyUs have been brutal and unstoppable. With star DPS players Timo “Taimou” Kettunen and Ronnie “Talespin” DuPree leading the offense, the team has dropped just four games in total all month long. Tonight, EnVy will be competing to be the first grand finalist for the $7,500 BEAT Invitationa,l and in fans eyes that’s more or less a given.

The winner of the match between Code7 and Cloud9 will be EnVy’s opponent in the winners final. Former GosuRankings leaders, Cloud9 are trying to reclaim their top position but currently lag 150 points behind EnVy. The good news for them is that they’ve beaten Code7 in all five series they’ve played with a cumulative 12-0. The bad news is that Cloud9 are also 1-18 against EnVyUs since the latter’s return to dominance.

Much more unpredictable are the lower bracket matches. NG Red and Rogue are up for elimination but they’ve played each other just once (Rogue win in a close 2-1) so predictions can’t be made with any certainty. 1SHOT are awaiting the loser of Code7 and Cloud9, hoping to continue the Cinderella story of the tournament.

The BEAT Invitational kicks off at exactly 00:00 CEST tonight with NG Red vs Rogue.
