We here at GosuGamers love eSports. We think that Overwatch can be a remakably entertaining spectator experience. Lucky for us, AskJoshy casted some Overwatch 6v6 between a team of Team Fortress 2 veterans and the Blizzard Overwatch development team. Tune in to this glimpse at Overwatch eSports action and find out if the veterans of a class-based shooter can play Overwatch better than the people who designed it.
These exciting matches give us some insight as to what the future holds for Overwatch. Coordinated pushes, counterpushes, timings and strategic hero changes dictate the action in Overwatch. However, and granted it is only beta, the spectator UI leaves a great deal to be desired. We have some specific ideas about the general UI as well as the spectator UI which we detailed in this article.
That said, the spectator experience is frantic and fun, which bodes well for competitive Overwatch.
