Sandrone returns from the dead to become your next traveling companion!
You read that right. No number of self-sacrifices (or Dottore impalements) will stop the Marionette from coming back from the dead. Genshin Impact has revealed that the former Seventh of the Fatui Harbingers is coming to the upcoming 6.7 update as a new playable character.
Sandrone became a key figure throughout the Nod-Krai Archon Quest line, but was already a known figure way back when Tartaglia (or Childe) first debuted. Characterised as a cold and calculative researcher, Sandrone made her first appearance in Genshin Impact's Winter's Night Lazzo video in 2022.
Who is Sandrone in Genshin Impact?
Sandrone is a Fontainian automaton created by Alain Guillotin, whose story was explored through the Ann of Narzissenkreuz World Quest line of Fontaine. She is modelled after Allain's deceased sister Mary-Ann, and keeps Allain's last creation, Pulonia, as her companion.
It is unknown how Sandrone came to be a part of the Tsaritsa's Fatui Harbingers, save that it was a “new job” for her to do. She had a somewhat uneasy friendship with Arlecchino and Columbina, and did not hold the other Harbingers in particularly high regard.
Sandrone became a key character in defeating Dottore, sacrificing herself in order to aid the Traveler and Columbina during the climactic fight. Arlecchino would later salvage Sandrone and Pulonia's cores, which is likely what will allow Sandrone and Pulonia to be revived.
What Vision and Weapon will Sandrone have?
Sandrone's vision isn't exactly a vision, from her introduction it is called a “Stellar Linchpin”, and she will align with the element Cryo. Her weapon preference is unknown, although judging from her personality and her preference to have Pulonia do the dirty work, it's likely that Sandrone will use a Catalyst.
When is Sandrone coming out in Genshin Impact?
Sandrone will join the character roster in Version 6.7. If the current release schedule of Genshin Impact persists, it is likely that she will launch sometime in July 2026.
