Version Luna VII will drop on 20 May.
The upcoming Version Luna VII update “Song of the Welkiing Moon: Andante ‘Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana’” has a lot in store for travelers, and we're all excited about how the story will pan out!
Dropping on 20 May, players can expect tons of new content, including a new event, quests, and three new playable characters in Nicole, Lohen, and Prune.

Genshin Impact Version Luna VII first half banners: Nicole and Durin
The first half of Version Luna VII will finally debut Nicole Reeyn of the Hexenzirkel as a playable character. She will run alongside Durin.
Nicole Reeyn is a survivor of the Angel race–a race of beings directly created by the Heavenly Principles with the purpose of guiding humanity. Due to her divine origin, Nicole is known as a prophetess who possesses knowledge of Teyvat's direction and order, and is said to have offered help and guidance to those in need.
However, when the Angels were cursed to become mindless Seelies as punishment for Koitar's rebellion, she became one of the very few to retain her power, although losing the ability to talk. She instead communicates through people's minds.
As a playable character, Nicole will wield a Pyro Vision, and her preferred weapon is the catalyst. Her kit revolves around being an off-field buffer and shielder, and is capable of providing a substantial ATK buff to her party. Since Nicole is part of the Hexenzirkel, she will receive a unique synergy effect when paired with Hexerei characters. The effect will increase the damage of her Arcane Projection.
Genshin Impact Version Luna VII second half banners: Lohen and Mavuika
On the other hand. Lohen will debut in the second half of Version Luna VII, alongside a rerun of the Pyro Archon Mavuika.
Lohen acts as the Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius Ranged Company, and although he commands a platoon of knights who favour bows as their main weapon choice, Lohen prefers to use his spear because “stabbing with [my] spear is faster and more accurate than firing an arrow.”
Lohen is also described by Varka as someone who fights because he likes it, not because he's searching for glory or honour. Varka also posits that Lohen is tougher than him, and that his special charisma inspires companions to follow him into battle–no matter how crazy his tactics can get.
Lohen wields a Cryo vision, and has a polearm as his weapon of choice. Given his personality, it's obvious that Lohen's role in the party is that of the Main DPS. His kit features a unique collaborative (well, competitive) system within the party, which ultimately provides him with a devastatingly powerful attack.
Lohen is also able to acquire the Hexerei buff.
New 4-star character: Prune
Prune is a 4-star Anemo catalyst character whose main purpose in life is to hunt witches. But other than trying to lure witches with her bell to smite them down with her hammer, Prune works as an Anemo support/sub-DPS. Prune typically provides the high-yield benefit of the Swirl reaction, but is also capable of providing a good ATK buff to herself and her team.
Funnily enough, Prune is able to undergo the Hexerei test, allowing her access to the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect.
What are the weapon banners coming to Genshin Impact Version Luna VII?
Two new 5-star weapons will debut in-game: Nicole's best-in-slot catalyst “Seven Edicts of Dust and Light”, and Lohen's best-in-slot polearm “Disaster and Remorse”.
“Seven Edicts of Dust and Light” will run alongside Durin's signature sword, “Athame Artis”. While “Disaster and Remorse” will figure into the second half with Mavuika's claymore “A Thousand Blazing Suns”.

Main Quest: Version Luna VII: Andante “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana”
Version Luna VII will bring us back to Sumeru with “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana”. With Dottore's god-form defeated during the events of Nod-Krai, players will face a new crisis looming, spearheaded by… Dottore?
You read that right, it seems most likely that one of Dottore's segments has, well, survived? in one way or another. This cunning enemy is as powerful as the original, and will also debut as a new boss to battle. From what we've seen during the livestream, this version of Dottore is even capable of unleashing the Raiden Shogun's ultimate (!!).
That ability to replicate Raiden Shogun's burst is already leading to a hint. Didn't Dottore and Scaramouche team up back during the Sumeru Archon Quest? We'll find out more when the patch drops!
Completing the quest will reward players with 560 Primogems and ascension materials for Nicole.
New weekly domain:
Nicole's debut will feature a new domain called the Witch's Lodge, which will be available weekly. Exploration will provide possible rewards like Primogems, enhancement materials, and Mora.
New Artifacts:
New artifact domains will feature two new artifact sets: Celestial Gift and Disenchantment in Deep Shadow. It is likely that these two sets are tailor-made for Nicole, Lohen, and Prune's kits.
Main limited-time event: Phantasmal Pals
Who's to say that you can't have fun even with an imminent crisis? Version Luna VII's limited-time main event will have players go on a cute and enjoyable adventure with Teyvat's own Little Hexenzirkel! Klee has called upon Sayu, Yaoyao, Qiqi, and a begrduging Prune to create her own witch's group all the way in Inazuma, where participating in the unique mini-games guarantees players with rich rewards.
Other events:
- New Genius Invokation TCG cards
- New Envisaged Echoes for Wanderer and Navia
- New cycle for To Tempered Thyself and Journey Far, where players can gain more rewards beyond claiming a Stella Fortuna.
