Zenless Zone Zero 2.6's best Aria build, W-engines, drive discs, and teams

Together, let's create the most beautiful stage in the world!

Aria is finally here! She joins Zenless Zone Zero in Version 2.6 as the second S-Rank Agent from the Angels of Delusion. Energetic and full of spirit, she shines as an Ether Anomaly DPS, specialising in Abloom reactions and big bursts of damage during short windows.

Her main trick is building up Fandom Power, which lets her skip stages on her plunging attacks and land maximum damage faster. When combined with Attribute Anomalies and stun setups, she can really make her presence felt on the battlefield.

While her basic loop is easy to grasp, mastering Aria takes some timing and resource management. We’ve got the tools to help you maximise her in this guide, which will walk you through her abilities, gameplay tips, and the best builds and teams to get the most out of her.

How Aria's kit works

Aria's kit centres around a special resource called Fandom Power, which appears on the battlefield as lightsticks. Managing this resource properly is key to unlocking her strongest attacks.

She generates Fandom Power through several abilities, including Basic Attacks, EX Specials, and Chain Attacks. These stacks allow her to quickly charge her most powerful attack and trigger her main damage mechanic.

Aria's kit centres around a special resource called Fandom Power, which appears on the battlefield as lightsticks.

Fandom power

Fandom Power lets Aria skip charge stages when performing her held Basic Attack. Since her plunge attack normally has three charge levels, each stack allows her to reach maximum power much faster.

She can generate Fandom Power through:

  • Landing the fourth hit of her Basic Attack combo
  • Using her EX Special Attack
  • Triggering Chain Attacks
  • Activating certain team abilities

Generating these stacks before attacking is essential for maximising her damage.

Charged basic attack

Holding the Basic Attack button causes Aria to charge a plunging Ether attack. This attack has three charge levels and deals more damage at higher levels.

When Fandom Power is nearby, Aria absorbs it to instantly increase the charge level. At maximum charge, she leaps into the air and slams down, dealing AoE Ether damage.

The third hit of this attack is especially important. If the enemy is already affected by an Attribute Anomaly, it will trigger Abloom, which deals additional damage based on Aria's Anomaly Mastery.

If the target is stunned, Abloom damage increases even further.

Ultimate and enhanced state

Aria's core combat loop: EX Special Attack → Ultimate → Hold Basic Attack.

Aria's Ultimate deals heavy Ether damage and places her into a special state called Moment of Delusion.

During this state:

  • Aria gains stacks of All-Out Cheering
  • Ether Veil is activated
  • Her charged attack becomes stronger

Each stack of All-Out Cheering allows her to skip two charge stages when charging her plunging attack. This makes it possible to unleash several fully charged attacks in quick succession.

When the state ends, any remaining stacks convert into additional Fandom Power.

Ether Veil and team synergy

Aria can activate Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, which grants a flat attack increase to the entire squad.

Her Additional Ability activates when the team includes:

  • A Support agent
  • A Stun agent
  • Another Angels of Delusion member

When Ether Veil triggers under these conditions, Aria generates extra Fandom Power and can extend Corruption duration on enemies.

How to play Aria

Although Aria's mechanics involve several moving parts, her gameplay loop is fairly consistent. The goal is to generate enough Fandom Power before unleashing her charged attacks during a strong damage window.

In most fights, you will spend time building resources before switching to Aria for burst damage.

Basic gameplay flow

A typical rotation looks like this:

  1. Generate Fandom Power
  2. Apply Attribute Anomalies to enemies
  3. Use charged attacks to trigger Abloom
  4. Activate Ultimate for burst damage

Example combo

One simple combo is:

EX Special Attack → Ultimate → Hold Basic Attack.

The EX Special generates Fandom Power, the Ultimate activates Moment of Delusion, and the charged attack consumes the stacks for a powerful plunge attack.

If there is not enough Fandom Power available, it is usually better to rotate through other agents briefly before returning to Aria.

Skill prioritisation

For Aria's skills, focus on upgrading Core Skill and Basic Attack first, then invest in Special Attack and Chain Attack afterwards.

Upgrading the right abilities first will significantly improve Aria's overall performance. Since her damage mainly comes from Abloom and charged attacks, certain skills should take priority.

  • Core Skill: Highest priority. This increases Abloom damage and improves her Anomaly scaling
  • Basic Attack: Important because her main plunge attack comes from this ability
  • Special Attack: Helps generate Fandom Power more consistently
  • Chain Attack: Useful for additional burst damage and Ultimate synergy
  • Dodge: Lowest priority
  • Assist: Lowest priority

Focus on upgrading Core Skill and Basic Attack first, then invest in Special Attack and Chain Attack afterwards.

Best W-engine for Aria

Flight of Fancy, Weeping Gemini, and Electro-Lip Gloss are great alternatives to Angel in the Shell for Aria.

Aria performs best with W-Engines that increase Anomaly Proficiency and Anomaly damage.

Angel in the Shell

This is Aria's strongest option.

  • Increases Anomaly Proficiency
  • Boosts damage against enemies affected by Attribute Anomalies
  • Increases the Anomaly damage she triggers

Because Aria relies heavily on Abloom damage, this W-Engine complements her kit perfectly.

Flight of Fancy

A strong alternative that focuses on faster Anomaly generation.

  • Increases Anomaly Buildup Rate
  • Grants stacking Anomaly Proficiency when dealing Ether damage

This helps Aria trigger Abloom reactions more often.

Weeping Gemini

This option performs well in teams with multiple Anomaly agents.

  • Grants Anomaly Proficiency when teammates trigger Attribute Anomalies
  • Stacks several times during combat

Electro-Lip Gloss

A solid budget option.

  • Increases attack when enemies are affected by Attribute Anomalies
  • Boosts damage against those targets

Best drive discs for Aria

The four-piece shining Aria can be paired with either a two-piece Phaeton's Melody or two-piece Freedom Blues.

Aria benefits most from Drive Discs that increase Anomaly Proficiency, Anomaly Mastery, and Ether damage.

Best set: 4-piece Shining Aria + 2-piece Phaethon's Melody

  • Shining Aria increases Anomaly Proficiency and Ether damage
  • Phaethon's Melody increases Anomaly Mastery

This combination maximises the damage from Abloom reactions.

Alternative set: 4-piece Shining Aria + 2-piece Freedom Blues

  • Freedom Blues provides additional Anomaly Proficiency, making it a good alternative if the preferred set is unavailable.

Best teams for Aria

Aria performs best alongside agents who can create stun windows or accelerate Attribute Anomaly buildup.

Free-to-play team

Aria: main DPS
Anby: stun
Nicole: support

Recommended Bangboo: Booressure

Aria, Anby, and Nicole make a solid free-to-play setup. Anby provides reliable stun windows, while Nicole’s defence reduction helps Aria’s attacks hit harder. Together, they create opportunities for her to maximise Abloom damage without relying on rare agents.

Anomaly-focused team

Aria: main DPS
Sunna: support
Yuzuha: support

Why it works:

  • Sunna enhances Aria's charged attacks
  • Yuzuha helps build Attribute Anomalies faster

Recommended Bangboo: Biggest Fan

Angels of Delusion team

Aria: main DPS
Sunna: support
Nangong Yu: stun

This composition focuses on synergy between members of the same faction. Their abilities complement Aria's kit and help maintain consistent damage windows.

Anomaly Support Stun team

Aria: main DPS
Sunna: support
Lycaon: stun

This setup replaces Nangong Yu with a consistent stun option such as Lycaon or Dialyn.

All in all, Aria is as much about flair as firepower. With the right timing and team, she turns every fight into a show, rewarding players who enjoy a mix of strategy and spectacle. Whether you’re chasing big damage numbers or just want to see her light up the battlefield, Aria is ready to steal the spotlight, if you build and use her kit correctly.
