Genshin Impact pulls out of PS4
In a separate announcement, HoYoverse revealed that Genshin Impact will discontinue updates and will be removed from the PS4.
The reason for this decision comes down to limitations of the PS4's hardware performance and platform application size. The removal of the game will be done in three phases: game removal, in-game purchase delisting, and finally, end of support update.
The game removal will occur on 10 September, 2025 at 6AM (UTC+8). In-game purchases and top-ups will still be available through the PlayStation store and the in-game shop, until in-game purchases are delisted on 25 February, 2026. The game will end its update support on 8 April, 2026.
Genshin Impact will remain available on the PS5.
