Match report

Game one

The first game started out unconventionally with both teams opting for a dual lane at mid with CTY's Shadow Demon supported by Fenrir's Leshrac and Yao's Brewmaster supported by DDC's Rubick. Meanwhile, on the bottom lane first blood is drawn on Xiao8's Juggernaut by the combination of Chaos Knight and IO around 2 minutes into the game.

Shortly afterwards, Brewmaster gets a kill on Shadow Demon at mid lane. Six minutes into the game, Juggernaut and Brewmaster fall to VG on the bottom and mid lane respectively. However, a minute later, a rotation from LGD towards the mid lane turns out awry as they end up losing three heroes in the process.

By 12th minute, VG is leading with a kill score of 13:3 besides taking down LGD's tier one towers on all sides and amassing a 10k gold lead. After a momentarily sign of recuperation, LGD start to falter as they give away their tier two towers on the mid and bottom lane.

There is no action for the next few minutes since both sides emphasize on farming up a bit. In the meantime, at 22 minutes, a huge team-fight ensues near the Dire ancients, where VG wipes out the entire LGD team with a classy triple kill on CTY's Shadow Demon and proceed on to take down the raxes at mid lane.

The final nail in the coffin is hammered at 33 minutes, where LGD calls out 'GG' after VG manage to take them down with an uncontested battle at mid lane.

Note: The first game turned out to be entirely different from the normal Chinese games. VG displayed versatility with their picks and the sheer game-play and precise timing on FY's IO won them crucial ganks.

Game two

This time, its LGD who draws out the first blood on FY's Sand King on the bottom lane at 2 minutes. Meanwhile, CTY's Clockwerk finds a solo kill on Yao's Magnus on mid lane.

On the top lane, ZSMJ's Storm Spirit is up against Sylar's Lone Druid. Both have a fair amount of creep stats and proceed towards farming up their basic items.

No kills or towers are exchanged for the next few minutes, and both teams opt out to play safe. 11 minutes into the game, Xtt's Juggernaut finds a kill on Lone Druid on top lane, however, timely reinforcements from Magnus and Keeper of the Light take down Storm Spirit and Sand King.

Two minutes later, VG takes down four heroes of LGD at mid lane with some excellent initiation from CTY's Clockwerk. Some extra aggression from VG's side around 16 minutes, results in the death of four heroes as Magnus and Dragon Knight find kills for themselves.

Things seem to have slowed down for a while, when a superb initiation from Magnus on the bottom lane results in two kills and the tier-one tower, both in favour of LGD.

23 minutes into the game, VG trade their tier-two tower at mid for LGD's tier-one tower on the bottom lane. Two minutes later, a team fight breaks out near Roshan and the tides turn in favour of VG once again as they lose only 2 heroes as opposed to LGD's 3.

Despite, leading in terms of both; gold and experience, VG is faced with a dire situation since LGD is constantly taking down towers due to their huge pushing potential.

A smoke gank attempt from VG at 33 minutes goes in vain since LGD dodge it with a well placed sentry ward in the Radiant jungle. VG takes down Roshan and a team-fight ensues next, once again going in favour of VG.

LGD's relentless attempt to push top backfired on them heavily, as CTY initiates perfectly with his hook alongside ZSMJ, who in-turn silences Magnus with Orchid, thereby, cancelling his ultimate. The entire LGD team is wiped out in the process.

The last team-fight ensues around 45 minutes, near the bottom rune spot where another excellent co-ordination from VG, results in team wipe of LGD for the second time. With hope lost, LGD concede defeat and call out 'GG'.

Note: Another selfless team work from VG that resulted in a spectacular victory in the inaugural match of Dota 2 Super League.
