Russian team Virtus.Pro has qualified for the Thor Open offline tournament in December. It's the fifth of eight team to qualify.
The fifth Thor Open qualifier has ended with the final between Virtus.Pro and Clan Poland. The two teams who defeated HelloMoto and Podmini in the semi finals have clashed in order to qualify for the SEK 130,000 offline tournament in Stockholm.
Virtus.Pro defeated Clan Poland with a clear 2-0 victory. The Russian team around NS and Santa, which also plays in The Premier League, thus qualfied as the fifth of eight teams for the Thor Open finals. In TPL season 3, the team is currently in second position, just behind Team Empire.
Thor Open is a multi-game offline tournament to be held in Stockholm on 8 and 9 December. The three remaining qualfiers will be held each week all through the month November.
Whether or not the teams in the end will really travel to Stockholm, has not been confirmed so far. Especially for ROOT Gaming, since the would have to travel all the way from the United States, a question mark remains.
