iG and DK extend their lead at G-1 Champions League

As G-1 Champions League rounds up the second half of its group stage matches, Chinese dominance was the name of the game today with DK and iG taking convincing wins over their opponents Natural 9 and Seqeuntial respectively.

Here are the highlights from today:

Group B (Game 2)
China DKAustralia Natural 9
luna chen batrider

undying shadow shaman
venomancer enchantress chaos

bounty hunter queen of pain

Natural 9 stood no chance in both games playing with three stand-ins on their team as DK demolished the Australian team in 20 minutes in both games. The Chinese powerhouse appeared to take on a new playstyle similar to iG where midgame aggression dictated most of the game.

DK were prepared to take down towers and force team fights with strong heroes Undying and Chen on their lineup, and attempted barracks whenever Mass Serpent Wards and Undying's Tombstone were off cooldown. N9's lineup was incapable of defending against the midgame strength of DK's lineup and were forced to call GG at 21 minutes despite numerous buyback attempts to stall the game.

Group A (Game 1)
China iGNew Zealand Sequential
leshrac sniper sven

night stalker rubick
invoker jakiro natures prophet

lifestealer enchantress

Not much can be said about this game given the fact that Sequential conceded the game after a mere 13 minutes of play - iG showed spectators why and how they were in control of the current Dota 2 metagame with a well-executed gank strategy which forced the New Zealand team to be on the heavy back foot throughout the entire game.

Night Stalker was allowed to run rampant after the first night phase and there was nothing that Sequential could do as he roamed between lanes while the Dire had to gather up as five all the time. It was perfect execution by iG throughout the 13 minutes and Sequential had no way to get back in the game.

Tomorrow, LGD will play MUFC to keep their second place in Group A at 15:30 CET while Orange will battle TongFu to do the same for Group B at 20:00 CET. Meanwhile, check out available vods of last night's matches here.
