Tonight we take to South East Asia as they play to find their first player for the GGA grand finals. This cup is the start to a foursome of brackets that will bring us to the lesser known corners of the StarCraft 2 world.
After Korean players, especially those from TSL, have dominated the EU and NA qualification cups and up until GGA #7 took 4 out of the 6 seeds, Krr made a move to balance things out. He beat the only non-European in the quarterfinals, Ranged, and moved on to defeat both Elbegast as well Nimitz, who the Lithuanian Protoss demoted to second place in a PvP final with a 2-0 victory.
So far we see that no NA player has made qualification, leaving the current seeds as a composition of Korean and European players. Perhaps we will see a more exotic Asian nationality be added to that list tonight.
Qualified players
August 1st, 23:00 CET!
Thus far, the European GGA Cups have been the only ones to proclaim a non-Korean victor. Tournament organizers are summoning everybody so that a fourth foreign finalist gets the chance to qualify for the final event in December!
