The details to the Australian and Oceanic portion of the WCS have finally been fully released. Aside from being the biggest tournament that Australia has ever seen, the event will feature four of the best casters in the world: Tasteless, Artosis, HD and PainUser.
One of the more interesting facts is that Peter 'Legionnaire' Neate, a former brood war professional player qualified for this event and will be participating in the regions finals. He makes this return in a long hiatus from the gaming scene but has stated that he 'doesn't think that he will qualify but he will do his best and see if he can do some better builds and go from there.'
The participants have qualified from a number of smaller events from around the country. The top 6 of the Australian qualifier will then join with the 2 players from the New Zealand qualifier of whom will then compete for the top spot in Oceania. The event will be held on the 11th & 12th of August 2012 at Australian Technology Park located 5km from Sydney's CBD.
