After eight qualifiers, the 16 teams for the very first GosuLeague Division 2 are determined.
The qualifications for the second GosuLeague season have come to a close: In June we will have a first and a second GosuLeague division. 16 teams have qualified in eight qualification tournaments.
GosuLeague Div 2 starts at the beginning of June
Among the 16 qualified teams are some well known second tier Dota 2 teams: PowerRangers, Dotings2Good, 404 Not Found and others already tried their best in other competitions. The German team uebelst Gaming with KuroKy and leaf in its official lineup has also made it through preliminaries.
The exotics in the run are Vince te Ipsum from Brazil and youngrebel from Jordan. Keep in mind though, that the Brazilians will have to play on European servers, according to the rules of GosuLeague.
Two sub-divisions with 8 teams each
GosuLeague division 2 will be divided into two equivalent sub-divisions, called 2a and 2b. Both subdivisions will have eight teams, just like GosuLeague division 1. Group drawing will be made soon. Division 2 doesn't feature prize money, but it's the way to qualify for the first division. Division 1 prize money will be 3,500 US-Dollar in its second season which is happening parallel to division 2.
