Valve has officially launched the tournament page of The International 2. It was already known that the tournament will be held in Seattle, United States. But the date was unknown.
August 31st to September 2nd
The tournament will be held in a concert hall, the Benaroya Hall. Two teams are already confirmed: Na'Vi as the defending champions and DK, as the first chinese contender. The information page about The International 2 gives a total of 16 team slots for the tournament. This is the same amount of teams as in the 2011 edition in Cologne, back in August.
The Benaroya Hall has two auditoriums: The S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium with 2,500 seats in total and the smaller Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall with 540 seats. You can view more photos of the Benaroya Hall and its concert halls in the Seattle Symphony gallery.
