GSL broadcast rights holder becomes third gaming channel

anibox.jpgThisisgame.com reports that ANIBOX, a TV channel in Korea, has changed its main broadcast genre to gaming.

The Korean news site reports that the parent company Daewon Broadcasting Corporation approved the channel's wanted genre change.

ANIBOX is already the exclusive rights holder to broadcast GOMTV's GSL matches live on television.

The channel therefore becomes the third gaming channel in South Korean television together with OnGameNet and MBCGame.

The live broadcasts will for now still have a pre-set time table, which means the show can get cut off if it exceeds the projected schedule. But the channel is said to seek an optimized time and program schedule in the upcoming seasons.

Worth to note is that OnGameNet originated from Tooniverse, another cartoon channel.
