MLBB: This week will see all eyes on Malaysia

Many regions in MLBB are now heading into their playoff stage, and this week we will turn our focus to MPL Malaysia to see the culmination of an epic Season 13.

Just this past week, we witnessed a thrilling culmination of the Mobile Legends Professional League Season 13 in the Philippines, where Liquid Echo blasted Falcons AP.Bren into second place and claimed their crowns. With PH done and dusted, it is now time to turn our attention elsewhere, with MPL Malaysia Season 13 heading into its playoff stage from May 30th through to June 2nd.

Malaysia searches for its champion

It has been quite the ride for teams in MPL MY Season 13, with six weeks of Regular Season action between 10 teams. Unfortunately, during that time, four of the teams were eliminated from the running to make it through to the playoffs – although it was extremely interesting to see all four bottom teams with a 2-7 record and only a 2-point difference between them. That said, the top six now enter into a gruelling battle to find the champion – with Red Giants Esports on an unbeaten streak currently. The big question will be – can anyone stop them?

The first two series will be the upper bracket quarter-finals, with Todak taking on King Empire and RSG Malaysia going up against Team HAQ. Both of these will be best-of-five elimination matches, with the winners moving into the upper bracket semi-finals to face either Red Giants or HomeBois, respectively. With a lifeline in hands, these series will take teams into either the upper bracket finals or the lower bracket semi-finals – as the weekend nears completion and a champion is crowned on Sunday, June 2nd.

Not forgetting MENA

Although our main focus is MPL MY, we can’t leave our MPL Middle East & North Africa Season 5, which will see the first round of its Playoff stage take place on May 28th. The play-in stage, featuring four teams; Team Falcons, Axe, Geekay Esports, and Okami Esports, will determine which teams move into the next round and which will be eliminated before the main event of the playoffs gets underway from June 13th through to June 15th. While this won’t be the final weekend, we still are interested in who will be in contention to reach the Mid Season Cup 2024.

All-in-all, it should be another amazing week for fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and we cannot wait to see which team will become the champion of MPL MY Season 13 – and claim their spot at MSC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia later this year as part of the Esports World Cup.
