Saudi Arabia's Team Falcons complete the 16-team field for the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 Group Stage.
The full 16-team field for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2026 is now complete, with Saudi Arabia's
Team Falcons claiming the final spot after surviving the tournament's Wildcard stage. Falcons defeated Mongolia's
The Huns Esports, 2-1, in the Wildcard finals on Saturday (4 July) to advance to the MSC 2026 Group Stage.
Falcons' roster features four Saudi Arabian players, namely EXP laner Ayman Othman Bin “Sanji” Muidh Alqarni, mid laner
Muath Saad S “Cuffin” Alkoraini, gold laner
Sulaiman Musallam S “Saano” Alrashdi, and roamer
Moayed Ayman M “Trolll” Kharaba. Filipino journeyman
Bien “Boyet” Chumecera rounds out the roster as their jungler.
With their victory in the MSC 2026 Wildcard, Falcons improve on their result from last year's tournament, where they failed to make it out of the Wildcard. The team will also be looking to improve on their performance in MSC 2024, where they started in the Group Stage but bombed out in 13th-16th place.
Team Falcons survive MSC 2026 Wildcard
The MSC 2026 Wildcard featured three stages, namely the Group Stage, Gauntlet Stage, and the Decider Stage. The Wildcard also initially included 10 teams, but the field was cut down to nine after Russia's
Verso Time were forced to withdraw due to visa issues.
The Wildcard Group Stage split the 10 teams into two groups of five teams each, who faced off in a single round-robin with best-of-one matches. The top team in each group advanced directly to the Decider Stage, the second to fourth-placed teams advanced to the Gauntlet Stage, while the fifth-placed teams were eliminated.
The Gauntlet Stage then featured two separate King of the Hill-style brackets, with all matches being a best-of-three. The two third place teams from each group faced the fourth place teams from the other group, with the winner then facing off the two second place teams for a spot in the Decider Stage. The Decider Stage was a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches, with the victor advancing to the MSC 2026 Group Stage.
Falcons earned their spot in the MSC 2026 Wildcard as the runners-up of MLBB Professional League (MPL) MENA Season 9, finishing behind
Geekay Esports who earned a direct berth to the tournament's Group Stage.
Thanks to Verso Time's sudden withdrawal, all of the teams in Group B–which included Falcons–of the Wildcard Group Stage earned a free win. Falcons defeated Japan's
Sunset Ravens and Laos'
Niightmare Esports, but lost in their first encounter with The Huns, to finish as the second seed of Group B and advance to the Gauntlet Stage.
As the second seed of their group, Falcons only needed to win one match to advance to the Decider Stage. They faced Niightmare once again, soundly sweeping the Lao team to get one step closer to the earning a spot in the MSC proper.
Falcons' first opponent in the Decider Match was Türkiye's
FUT Esports, with the Saudi Arabian squad emerging victorious with a 2-1 reverse sweep. That then set them up with a rematch with The Huns, who were coming off their own three-game victory over the Americas'
Alpha7 Esports.
The Huns drew first blood in the Decider finals, taking a grinding 21-minute win in game one at Flying Cloud. The action in game two moved to Dangerous Grass, where Falcons made good use of the maps' abundance of bushes to force the series to a decider after 15 minutes of action. Game three in Expanding Rivers then saw Falcons pull out a daring Balmond pick for Boyet, who led his team to the MSC Group Stage by racking up 20 kills in 17 minutes.
MSC 2026 Group Stage bracket now all set
With Falcons emerging victorious from the MSC 2026 Wildcard, the bracket for the tournament's GSL-style Group Stage has been set. The Group Stage will split the 16 participating teams into two groups of eight teams each, with the teams battling through a double-elimination bracket for eight spots in the Knockout Stage.
Here are the groups for the MSC 2026 Group Stage:
The MSC 2026 Group Stage will be hosted in Paris' Lenovo Legion Gauntlet arena from 22 to 26 July. The Knockout Stage will also be held in the same venue and take place from 29 July to 1 August.
The champions of MSC 2026 will claim the lion's share of US$1 million out of the tournament's US$3 million prize pool.
